I'm A Dog Trainer – 3 Breeds I Wouldn't Own, The First Is A 'walking Meme,' They're The Class Clowns Of The Dog World

A DOG trainer has revealed the three breeds of dogs he would never own.

But this had nothing to do with any aggressive traits.

This was more to do with their independent streak and, for one at least, their goof-ball tendencies.

The first on his list, the Boxer, he described as a "walking meme."

They are, figured Jamie the Dog Trainer (@jamiethedogtrainer) "the class clowns of the dog world."

So much so that he said he wasn't "able to take these dogs seriously at all."

In his post, he admitted that while he couldn't live with them, he acknowledged that he did like them.

"I like them from afar [and] when someone else has got them," he wrote.

Jamie just couldn't live with their constant goof-ball antics.

He summed up their character.

"A Boxer is kind of like that mate that's always doing those practical jokes and after a while, everyone thinks he's a bit of an [idiot] even though they love him."

Second on his list was the Beagle. He considered them great-looking dogs but didn't like their "horrible bark."

He continued: "Because of what they were bred for they can be very independent and a bit of a challenge to train."

"For those reasons, I just find them too much for me. I wouldn't own one myself."

Finally, it was the exotic Shar Pei. They just were not for him.

"As far as owning one, they are typically quite hard to train, they don't like strangers or new dogs mainly."

There were 17,000 who liked his post and nearly a thousand comments, many from owners of the three breeds who begged to disagree with his views.

One commenter said: "I own a Boxer so I talk from actual experience. Boxers are great, loving and perfect."

"Beagle owner here, yes they are very independent and follow their nose. Super smart and cheeky," said a second person.

But this owner was inclined to agree with Jamie.

"We have a Shar Pei. We love him, mostly, but we would never own another one after him."

Loyal Dogs Found Lying Next To Their Owner Who Had Tragically Died Days Before

Two elderly dogs sat for days beside their owner's body in a heartbreaking testament of their fierce loyalty.

Liverpool-based Carla Lane Animals In Need is trying to rehome 11-year-old boxer Mylo and 10-year-old Chinese Crested Pinocchio, who were found waiting by their deceased owner's side.

It is believed that their owner had died several days prior to the body's discovery.

Despite several appeals, the charity has yet to find a suitable home for these faithful companions, and is now reaching out to the community to provide a caring environment for the dogs in their senior years, the Liverpool ECHO has reported.

The charity said: "We were made aware by the police about this loyal pair who were found next to their owner who sadly had passed away.

"Their world has been shaken by loss, and they yearn for a quiet home where they can find comfort together.

"These aging companions offer a lifetime of love, and in their twilight years, they deserve a place of peace and understanding.

"They do have some age related health issues, Mylo also has a large lump in his mouth, this is not thought to be cancerous and he is still eating soft meals happily. He will need a close eye kept on him and surgery may have to be an option.

"We will cover any existing health conditions and we can discuss any conditions that may prop up in the future.

"Can you open your heart and home to these grieving friends? Your kindness can provide them with the love and tranquillity they desperately need. Please consider giving these two loyal souls a chance to heal and share their enduring affection with you.

"We know this is a big ask, but we have to get this pair back into a home and out of kennels for their own good!

"Please if you cannot offer them a long term foster or forever, share everywhere you can. They could live with a spayed female, dog savvy cats and older children who understand that these are older dogs."

A heartbreaking appeal has been launched for two loyal dogs who were discovered next to their dead owner.

Dog charity Carla Lane Animals in Need confirmed they were called by police for Mylo, a 11-year-old Boxer, and a 10-year-old Chinese Crested named Pinocchio, after they were found together. They were stood alongside their owner, reports the Echo, who is understood to have died several days earlier.

The pair are now in desperate need of a new home where they can live out their twilight years together in comfort, the charity said. Carla Lane Animals in Need have now taken to a new appeal in hopes of finding a kind-hearted individual or family willing to take them in.

The charity said on social media: "We were made aware by the police about this loyal pair who where found next to their owner who sadly had passed away. Their world has been shaken by loss, and they yearn for a quiet home where they can find comfort together. The charity confirmed they will "cover any existing health conditions" and we "can discuss any conditions that may prop up in the future". The appeal goes on: "Can you open your heart and home to these grieving friends? Your kindness can provide them with the love and tranquillity they desperately need. Please consider giving these two loyal souls a chance to heal and share their enduring affection with you"
