The Boys Season 3: Brett Geddes on THAT Memorable Termite ... - Bleeding Cool News

While The Boys' Season 3 might not ever have gotten made on most platforms a generation ago (maybe outside of HBO), it's become a streaming classic for Amazon's Prime Video as one of the most talked about shows in a very long time. Since its release in 2020, one standout moment from its three seasons involved Brett Geddes , who played Termite, a spoof of DC's Atom and Marvel's Ant-Man. The hero can shrink and expand to almost any size. Given the nature of the comics and the Prime Video series, that can creatively go in so many depraved places. Geddes spoke to Entertainment Weekly about his signature scene involving a lot of cocaine, blood, and a giant constructed penis amidst the orgy. I was jumping into this penis," Geddes recalled telling his girlfriend when she asked what he did on The Boys . "I was just so excited to tell her about

My Year in Bugs: the 2022 Backyard Blog - blog.wfsu.org

After four years of taking photos and writing about insects in my yard, I called it quits. I was in the middle of a large project as 2022 approached, and anyway, I see a lot of the same insects every year. That didn't mean I would stop taking photos, but maybe I didn't need to take the time to organize and write about them. There would be no 2022 Bug Blog. I underestimated my yard. Space opened up in 2021, and I installed a large new pollinator space. The yard became a richer space, a more diverse space. It drew me in with new visitors, and stories unfolded before my eyes. Once the small things have your attention, you're in their world. They are hunters and they are hunted, and they all need to seek a mate. With the changing of seasons, storylines resolve or evolve. Many of our characters change, and they have a flair for the unexpected. I make it sound dramatic, and it can be. But observing insects pays off in more than sex and death. Why d

Abstract Whiteflies are among the most important global insect pests in agriculture; their sustainable control has proven challenging and new methods are needed. Bacterial symbionts of whiteflies are poorly understood potential target of novel whitefly control methods. Whiteflies harbour an obligatory bacterium, Candidatus Portiera aleyrodidarum, and a diverse set of facultative bacterial endosymbionts. Function of facultative microbial community is poorly understood largely due to the difficulty in their selective elimination without removal of the primary endosymbiont. Since the discovery of secondary endosymbionts, antibiotic rifampicin has emerged as the most used tool for their manipulation. Its effectiveness is however much less clear, with contrasting reports on its effects on the endosymbiont community. The present study builds upon most recent method of rifampicin application in whiteflies and evaluates its ability to eliminate obligatory Portiera and two facultative endosymb
