Precision Grooming Spa opens in east Montgomery - Montgomery Advertiser
Veteran pet groomer Crystal Gilliand has opened Precision Grooming Spa at 3518 Eastdale Circle, between Planet Fitness and PNC Bank.
"I run the shop myself six days a week and I do the bulk of the pet care," Gilliand said. "We aim to provide luxury pet care services at affordable prices with guaranteed results and satisfaction."

Gilliand's love for animals began in childhood and guides her business and pet care team.
"Animals have always held a special place in my heart, and I am so thankful that I have had the opportunity to turn that passion into an enjoyable and satisfying career providing an essential service for pet owners and their loving companions," she said. "Unlike the larger grooming chains, Precision prides itself on being the kind of place everybody feels comfortable. We take the time to talk to each and every pet parent or guardian to understand intimately what they want and expect from the service chosen."
At least four jobs were created when the business opened in February, Gilliand said, including groomers, bathers and kennel techs.
She said the fact that several grooming businesses in the area closed or moved away prompted her to open the venture.
"When the opportunity arrived to move into a building that close to the mall on Atlanta Highway, it was a no-brainer. The location is great with Planet Fitness three doors down. It was honestly just time for me to do this. I have a lot of friends and clientele in the area," she said.
Precision also boards pets on-site. "They'll be watched thoroughly, provided food and water, given multiple potty breaks, and have the opportunity to participate in playtime as a part of our daycare program," she said.
Precision offers bath packages, full and mini grooms, as well as ear cleaning, flea treatment, dematting, teeth brushing, and anal gland expression. Gilliand and her team offer pet daycare, overnight and weekly boarding accommodations.
Gilliand has been in the pet grooming industry since she was 18, totaling more than 20 years. Gilliand said she has been trained by multiple master groomers who have molded her into an accomplished groomer.
She said she has led several grooming businesses, operated a mobile grooming van, and worked with some of the top veterinarians in the River Region.
